Kanha — Gates & Zones

ID Documents You Must Carry

Safari permits are issued in the name and ID of each traveller by the forest department. Bring the original document — photocopies and photos on a phone are not accepted at the gate.

  • Original photo ID for every traveller, including children where applicable
  • Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID or Driving License
  • The same ID number that was used when the permit was booked
  • Full names and ages of all travellers, exactly as on the ID
  • Foreign nationals: passport, carried in original

If a traveller's ID does not match the permit, entry can be refused at the gate. Send us the ID details in advance on WhatsApp and we will check them against your booking.

Not Sure Which Gate to Book?

Gates that sound close together are often on opposite sides of a reserve, and the wrong pairing of gate and hotel can mean a long transfer before every safari. Tell us your arrival city and dates and our safari desk will suggest the gate that fits your plan.
