Our role
TheForestStay.com is an independent travel booking agency operated by ShaktiEvent, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh, India). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official representative or agent of any hotel chain, holiday-membership company, Madhya Pradesh Tourism (MPSTDC), or any government forest department. We act only as a booking agent for our own clients. Every service we list can also be booked directly by the traveller — MP Tourism properties at mpstdc.com and safari permits on the respective forest department portals. Our service is optional paid assistance for travellers who prefer a single point of contact.
Service fee & transparent pricing
Before any payment is requested, we send a written quote that states the property or forest department tariff and our service fee separately, along with the applicable cancellation policy. We never ask for payment before you receive and accept that quote. We do not claim to offer prices, permits or inventory that are unavailable to the public through official channels.
Refunds
If we are unable to confirm the booking you paid for, the amount you paid us is refunded in full, including our service fee, within 7 working days to the original payment method. Where a booking is confirmed and you then cancel, the property's or forest department's own cancellation terms — shared with you in writing before confirmation — apply to the tariff portion. Safari permits
Safari permits are issued by the respective forest department and are subject to availability, zone allotment and departmental rules. Guest names, ages and photo ID details must match the permit exactly; entry may be refused otherwise. Zone allotment, route and guide/vehicle assignment are decided by the forest department, not by us.
Sightings
Wildlife sightings, including tiger sightings, can never be guaranteed. No refund is applicable on the basis of sightings.
Payments & cancellations
Bookings are confirmed only after payment is received against the amount quoted for your enquiry. Safari permits are largely non-refundable once issued. Resort cancellation and refund terms follow the individual property's policy and are shared with you before confirmation. Park closures, weather events or departmental orders are beyond our control.
