Closure Days and Safari Rules
- Weekly closures: core zones are closed every Tuesday, and buffer zones are closed every Wednesday. Plan your safari days around these closures.
- Late entry: Last entry is allowed up to 2 hours after the scheduled safari start time.
- 9-seater Cruiser safari: The 9-seater Cruiser safari is available only at Moharli Core and Kolara Core gates, only for Chandrapur district locals, with individual seat booking only. Booking is done offline, and spot booking is subject to availability at the safari gate.
- Match your gate to your stay: Tadoba's gates can be far from each other, so plan your gate according to where you are staying rather than picking a gate first and a resort later.
How to Book a Tadoba Safari
Online booking is done on the official Maharashtra Forest portal, mytadoba.mahaforest.gov.in. Core and buffer gates can be booked up to 120 days in advance, and popular gates sell out quickly for weekends and holiday periods — book as early as your dates allow.
One practical tip: use one browser tab for one booking at a time. Running several bookings in parallel tabs can cause the portal to drop or confuse your session.

Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve lies in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. Tadoba is not in Madhya Pradesh.
As per NTCA's list of tiger reserves, Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve covers 1,727.59 sq km: 625.82 sq km core (critical tiger habitat) and 1,101.77 sq km buffer.
Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve brings together Tadoba National Park and Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary. NTCA's list of tiger reserves records its year of creation as 1993-94.
